It's Me!
I grew up in Amish Country, Ohio but am now based in Austin, TX. I have visited 68 countries so far and continue to travel frequently.
Web Graphic Design
I design banners, sliders, infographics, blog illustrations, promotions, ads, and anything else you need to make your website work.
Project Management
I have partnerships with developers and digital artists, and have the technical literacy needed to help you outsource projects efficiently.
Usability Testing
Using Nielsen and Norman's heuristics and by conducting usability tests, I can identify vulnerabilities and suggest or mock up improvements for your site or work flow.
I didn’t become a designer by studying it in school. I became a designer by designing things.
Years before social media made personal branding such a ubiquitous trend, I created hand-drawn logos to include on homework assignments. This tendency to create followed me into adulthood and while I didn’t initially take seriously its viability as a career, it’s been a constant in how I choose to spend my free time. And in the last decade, design has been a growing part of how I spend my working time as well.
Most of my freelance design work has centered around data visualization through infographics and other graphics for content creators in the travel space. My recent work as UX designer and cofounder for an early stage tech start-up also nurtured a passion for usability studies and user testing.
Together, these projects have made me a disciplined designer, intent on creating effective user experiences.
My eclectic career has given me exposure to companies and brands, from large ecommerce sites and start-ups to small local businesses.
Clients have included popular brands in the travel niche like Frequent Miler, One Mile At A Time, and Million Mile Secrets as well as B2C and B2B brands like 360 Training, Crowd Control Warehouse, and BedBug Advisor.
Often small, local businesses will seek me out for my illustrative logo styles. These projects led me to local clients like Heritage Hills Farms, Joyful Living Coach, Joyful Mama Massage, Loken Careers, Solidarity Crossfit, and more.
Close to my heart are the entrepreneurial projects which provided a hands on, fast-paced environment for learning new skills with Travel Is Free and Recirc.
